This run begins at Ray Miller Trailhead, climbs to a ridge with good views of Boney Mt., Sycamore Canyon, and La Jolla Valley before crossing La Jolla Valley. We then circle Mugu Peak before returning to the starting point. Long a favorite of the Trailrunners Club, this is Run # 8 in "50 Trail Runs in Southern California."

Santa Ynez Canyon Loop via Trailer Canyon

This run starts in Santa Ynez Canyon in Palisades Highlands. After a flat run through a cool, lush canyon, we climb to a fire road above Tripett Ranch. We continue up the fire road around Eagle Peak, along a level stretch with good San Fernando Valley and Ocean views and then drop down through Trailer Canyon to return to the starting point. This is Run # 18 in "50 Trail Runs in Southern California," and is a Thanksgiving Day tradition for the Trailrunners Club.

Tapia Park/Bulldog Road/Corral Backbone Loop

This run starts and finishes at Tapia Park and is one of the longer loop runs . The run goes through Tapia Park and past the site at which the TV series Mash was filmed. The run then goes up a very scenic trail and returns to the start with panoramic views of the valleys and surrounding mountains.

Will Rogers Loop via Temescal Ridge Trail

This is a loop course that starts and ends at the Polo Field in Will Rogers State Park. The run takes the beautiful Rivas Canyon Trail, with several great view points, to Temescal Park and the Temescal Park Waterfall. From the Waterfall, the run continues up the Temescal West Ridge to the Temescal Ridge Fire Road and then back to the Polo Field at Will Rogers State Park via the spectacular Will Rogers Backbone Trial.
